The Educational Psychology program offers Master of Education (non-thesis) and Master of Arts in Education (thesis) degrees across four concentrations: Evaluation, Human Relations, Education of Students who are Blind or Visually Impaired, and Education of Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. The Evaluation concentration examines evaluation practice in the classroom, program evaluation, and psychometrics, preparing educators, administrators, and other professionals for evaluation-related leadership roles. The Human Relations concentration develops competencies for educators working in counselling-related roles. The Blind/Visually Impaired and Deaf/Hard of Hearing concentrations, delivered with the support of the Atlantic Provinces Special Education Authority (APSEA), prepare specialist teachers through compulsory on-campus summer institutes, distance coursework, and a supervised practicum. Coursework requirements range from 5.0 to 5.5 units depending on the concentration and thesis option chosen.
