Overview

Palliative Care – Multidiscipline is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate at Niagara College designed for internationally trained nurses seeking advanced knowledge in palliative care. The programme is delivered through interprofessional education alongside other nursing and allied health programmes and includes experiential learning with standardized patients. Graduates gain access to the Co-Curricular Record programme, which recognizes student engagement, leadership and co-curricular activity pursued outside the classroom. The curriculum builds specialized skills for supporting patients and families through serious illness and end-of-life care within an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Admission requires a college diploma or university degree in nursing; proof of English proficiency may be required where English is not the applicant's first language, and credentials from most private colleges are not accepted.
