Plumbing and Piping Trades Foundation Harmonized Certificate is a foundation in Trades programme offered by North Island College in Courtenay, Canada. The programme runs for 24 weeks, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition is CAD 2,600 per total for local students.
The Plumbing and Piping Trades Foundation program trains students toward work as a plumber, steamfitter/pipefitter, or sprinkler fitter. Students who register as an apprentice can count Level 1 technical training credit together with hours of work-based training toward Interprovincial Red Seal certification, developing skills in NIC's trades shop, classroom, and computer lab. Graduates gain both practical and theoretical knowledge covering workplace safety, piping tools, equipment, and job-site documentation, which qualifies them for jobs across Canada.
