Overview

This program is designed for veterinary professionals who want to expand their expertise in companion animal physical rehabilitation. Taught by experienced faculty and industry experts, the curriculum includes a strong foundation in advanced anatomy and physiology, therapeutic modalities, and the treatment of orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Students will engage in a blend of theoretical learning, case-based discussions, and practical skill development. The one-week on-campus residency provides 40 hours of hands-on clinical experience to ensure students gain the confidence and competency required to deliver effective patient care.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission is restricted to graduates of a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technology program; applicants entering directly from high school are directed to complete Northern College's Veterinary Technician diploma (H058) first and apply to this graduate certificate afterward. The programme page states no English-proficiency scores of its own; Northern College's general international requirement for postgraduate certificates applies: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88, or PTE Academic 60 (Duolingo is not accepted at this level). Before starting, students must provide proof of current rabies vaccination with a protective titre. No interview or portfolio is required.
