Overview

The Entrepreneurship program is a Bachelor of Arts major at Saint Mary's University that combines academic study with practical business creation. Students develop the skills to plan, launch, and operate a venture while completing their degree, pairing entrepreneurial experience with coursework in current methods of entrepreneurial theory and practice. The major is also offered within the Bachelor of Commerce, and students in either stream may add a co-operative education option that places paid work terms within the academic program. The curriculum exposes students to the process of starting and running a business alongside foundational Arts study. Graduates are prepared to found and manage their own ventures or to apply entrepreneurial thinking within established organizations, in fields such as small-business ownership, consulting, and new-venture development.
