This two-year diploma from SAIT specializes in beverage management within the hospitality industry, covering non-alcoholic drinks, wine, beer and spirits alongside beverage sales, retail operations, inventory control and basic culinary knowledge. Students also build broader hospitality competencies in guest experience delivery, sales and marketing, applied leadership and financial management. In the first semester, students complete WHMIS, food safety, ProServe and hospitality and tourism awareness certifications, and between the first and second year they complete a 400-hour internship at an industry worksite such as a hotel, restaurant, tour operator or resort. Delivery is in person at SAIT's Main Campus, with small class sizes. The program accepts international applicants but does not currently meet Post-Graduation Work Permit eligibility requirements. Beginning in the 2026/27 academic year, new applicants to SAIT's Hospitality and Tourism Management diploma apply through a multi-disciplinary stream rather than this standalone specialization.
