This one-year, three-semester post-diploma certificate, delivered in person, examines how global factors such as finance, operations, leadership, stewardship, and guest experience shape the hospitality and tourism industry. Students complete 30 credits across 11 courses, beginning with a first semester at SAIT's Main Campus in Calgary before moving to SAIT's Banff campus for a second semester covering high-performing teams, global hospitality and tourism, industry sustainability, entrepreneurship, and operations. The third semester is a paid work-integrated learning placement in the Bow Valley region, giving students direct experience with guests and staff from around the world. The certificate is offered by SAIT's School of Hospitality and Tourism and emphasizes applied hospitality service, organizational culture, and sales, marketing, and financial management skills alongside the placement. The program accepts international applicants, though it does not currently meet Post-Graduation Work Permit eligibility requirements.
