Offered by Sheridan College in Oakville, Canada, Honours Bachelor of Game Design is a honours degree in Digital Media & Game Development programme. The programme runs for 4 years, delivered in a hybrid format. Tuition for international students is CAD 22,576 per year (CAD 10,039 per year for local students).
The Honours Bachelor of Game Design is a four-year honours baccalaureate degree offered at Sheridan College's Trafalgar Campus in Oakville. Alongside core game design courses, the curriculum covers game mechanics, level design, programming and technology, game narrative and audio, 2D and 3D art and animation, and professional development and project management, drawing on Sheridan's broader reputation in digital media and animation education. Learning is applied and case-study driven, with assignments built around simulations and lab-based projects rather than theory alone. Students complete a co-op work term within the industry, and the final semesters are organized around team-based projects in which students design and build a complete game together, working across the different specializations covered in the program. The structure is intended to mirror how game studios operate, giving students experience collaborating across design, art and technical roles before graduation. The program suits students seeking a broad, hands-on grounding in game design that combines creative, narrative and technical skills, and who want industry-style team production experience built into their degree rather than added on afterward.
