Program Overview Students in the Electromechanical Engineering Technician - Robotics program will gain a solid foundation in programmable logic controllers, electronics, computer-aided design, mechanical systems, computer and robot programming, sensors and actuators. Graduates will be prepared to program, troubleshoot and maintain robots and automated production systems along with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Graduates will also be equipped to assist in the application and design of robotic systems, their manufacture and testing. Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of courses at the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level plus Grade 12 English at the College (C), University (U) or University/College (M) level and Grade 12 Mathematics at the College (C) or University (U) level, as stated on the programme's own admission-requirements page. Mature applicants are directed to the College's general Admission Procedures. No portfolio, interview, work-experience, age, or criminal-record-check conditions are stated for this programme. No separate language-proficiency scores are published, so international and non-native-English applicants are held to St. Clair College's institution-wide English requirement for diploma programmes: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 60, PTE Academic 52, CAEL 60, CELPIP General 7.0 in each module, or Duolingo 110, scores no older than two years.
