Overview
Program Overview Students in the Electromechanical Engineering Technologist program will learn valuable skills to work as designers and programmers in the automation and robotics fields. Upon graduation, students will have industry-ready skills in industrial robot programming, PLC programming, machine vision, electrical design, welding, simulation, fluid power, mechanical design and project management. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of courses at the College (C), University (U), University/College (M) or Open (O) level plus Grade 12 English at the College (C), University (U) or University/College (M) level and Grade 12 Mathematics at the College (C) or University (U) level, as stated on the programme's own admission-requirements page. Mature applicants are directed to the College's general Admission Procedures. Continuing into the co-op work term requires a cumulative programme GPA of 2.5 or better and completion of all Semester 1 and 2 courses, and co-op placement is noted as highly competitive; some placement sites may also require full COVID-19 vaccination. No separate language-proficiency scores are published, so international and non-native-English applicants are held to St. Clair College's institution-wide English requirement for diploma programmes: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 60, PTE Academic 52, CAEL 60, CELPIP General 7.0 in each module, or Duolingo 110.
