Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Improvement Science at the University of Saskatchewan trains professionals in the methods and practice of applying structured improvement approaches within their own organizations and systems. The program is comprised of 12 credit units of graduate coursework, and admission is competitive, with seats designated specifically for Indigenous applicants and priority given to Saskatchewan rural applicants. Applicants submit a current resume outlining their background and relevant employment history alongside a letter of intent describing their reasons for applying and their proposed improvement project. Standard academic requirements can be waived for applicants with significant relevant work experience in place of recent formal study. The program is administered through the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and is intended for working professionals bringing improvement methods into their own workplace.

Minimum GPA: 70.00 / %
Admission Requirements: Applicants require a four-year degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, with a cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (USask grade system equivalent). Applicants must submit a current resume outlining background and relevant employment history, and a letter of intent describing their reasons for applying and proposed project. Standard requirements may be waived for applicants with at least one year (18 credit units) of higher education, a break of at least five years from formal higher education, and at least 10 years of work experience. Proof of English proficiency may be required.
