Admission Requirements: General admission requirements of St. Jerome's University apply; programme-specific prerequisites are published on the official programme page. St. Jerome's University is federated with the University of Waterloo, so admissions, application deadlines, and English-language requirements follow Waterloo's own process rather than a separate St. Jerome's standard. Applicants apply directly to St. Jerome's through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) and choose from 30 Honours Arts and Honours Arts and Business majors; deadlines match Waterloo's institution-wide dates for all programmes other than Engineering. Waterloo sets Grade 12 subject and average cut-offs by province through an interactive admissions tool rather than one published minimum average. All applicants whose first language is not English must meet Waterloo's proficiency requirement: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (6.5 writing/speaking, 6.0 reading/listening), TOEFL iBT 90 overall (25 writing/speaking, tests before 21 January 2026), PTE Academic 63 overall (65 writing/speaking), or Duolingo English Test 120 overall (125 Literacy and Production); scores are accepted only from tests taken on or after 1 May 2025.
