Master of Catholic Thought

The Master of Catholic Thought (MCT) is a conjoint graduate theology programme offered by St. Jerome's University together with the University of Waterloo. It is designed for students and professionals of any faith background who provide leadership in fields such as health care, social services, and education, and who seek a graduate-level understanding of Roman Catholic life and thought. The curriculum combines coursework in Catholic theology with opportunities to connect theological study to professional practice. The programme is offered full-time over two years or part-time over four to five years, delivered primarily on-campus at St. Jerome's University in Waterloo, with some flexibility to meet student needs. Admission is normally in the fall term. Graduates gain a graduate credential in Catholic theological studies applicable to leadership roles in faith-based and public-service organizations.
