Registered Nurse Critical Care Nursing Graduate Certificate

This Ontario College Graduate Certificate prepares registered nurses to care for critically ill patients in high-acuity settings. Over one year of part-time study, students build the assessment, monitoring and treatment skills required in critical care through online theory combined with simulation and clinical experience. Delivery is primarily online and asynchronous, with hands-on simulation labs held on campus at the Kingston and Brockville locations. The program covers the specialized knowledge needed to competently manage the most vulnerable patient populations, preparing graduates for intensive care units, emergency departments and other high-acuity clinical settings. Admission requires proof of active, unrestricted registration as a registered nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario or an equivalent regulatory body, with current acute hospital experience recommended; applicants provide their CNO registration number at registration.
