Overview
The Youth Ministry & ROMER Certificate combines the college's youth ministry training with the academic requirements of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada's Recognition of Ministry Credential (ROMER). Delivered over 15 courses in one year, it covers the same youth ministry content as the standard Youth Ministry Certificate, ages 11 to 25, while also completing the academic coursework the PAOC requires for its ministry credential. Learning outcomes match the Youth Ministry Certificate: integrating ministry knowledge, articulating a biblical philosophy of youth ministry, understanding contemporary youth issues, developing communication skills, modelling leadership, equipping others for discipleship, and practicing Spirit-led ministry. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must have experienced a definite Christian conversion and demonstrate sound Christian character in keeping with accepted Christian standards. Academic eligibility requires Canadian Grade 12 completion or its equivalent in U.S. or international education systems; applicants who have not completed high school are considered individually by the Admissions Committee. Applicants must be able to finance the semester for which they enrol. A completed Application for Admission form with a $50 non-refundable application fee, three signed reference forms (from a pastor, a teacher or employer, and a friend over the age of 21), an official high school transcript, official transcripts from any post-secondary studies, a medical report, and a recent colour photograph are required.
