BA/BS in Public Health is a bachelor's degree in Public Health programme taught at Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada. The programme runs for 4 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 38,693 per year (CAD 7,502 per year for local students).
This Bachelor of Applied Science program prepares students to design and implement health initiatives at the population level. Coursework covers general chemistry, environmental health law, pathophysiology, biostatistics, toxicology, and the social determinants of health, supported by laboratory training, site visits, and seminar-style learning, with an option for independent research. It is offered full-time as a standard four-year program, a five-year stream incorporating a co-op work term, or a two-year route for students who already hold a university degree. Students can pursue an optional specialization in public health inspection, which is accredited by the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors and, on completion, allows graduates to pursue certification as a public health inspector. The program suits students aiming at population-level health roles such as communicable disease investigator, infection control practitioner, environmental health specialist, food safety auditor, or public health inspector, working within public health agencies or regional health departments, rather than a clinical or direct patient-care health credential.

Application Details
Application Deadline:Toronto Metropolitan University sets one guaranteed-consideration date for both domestic and international applicants applying for Fall 2027 entry: complete applications and amendments received by 1 February 2027 receive equal consideration for admission, and TMU says this same date applies to 'all domestic & international applicants.' Non-academic ('Grades-Plus') requirements are generally due around this point too, though the exact date varies by programme. For Winter 2027 (January-start) entry, TMU's program-status page gives domestic applicants a guaranteed-consideration date of 1 December 2026, with most programmes closing applications in mid-December; a limited number of programmes separately accept international applications for winter admission subject to space availability, but TMU publishes no fixed closing date for those international winter applicants. Admission is not rolling: late applications are considered only as space allows after the guaranteed-consideration date. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
