PhD in Environmental Applied Science and Management

Toronto Metropolitan University's Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Applied Science and Management is a research doctorate for students pursuing advanced study across environmental science, policy and management. The program takes an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on faculty and external associates working across science, the social sciences, engineering, business, architecture, planning and public health. It is offered alongside a master's-level (MASc) option within the same program, allowing doctoral students to build on existing disciplinary training while developing a broad, cross-sector perspective on environmental problems. Students undertake original doctoral research culminating in a dissertation, supervised by faculty drawn from this wide network of environmental disciplines.
