The Biology program prepares students for work in biotechnology, health sciences, ecology, and environmental stewardship, alongside grounding in a Christian worldview. Students study topics including emerging diseases, environmental sustainability, and genomics, with hands-on laboratory instruction at all year levels, so that students spend time in the lab earlier in the program than at many other schools. Faculty conduct research in areas such as cell biology, genetics, ecology, and applied and medical microbiology, working alongside students in small classes, and travel-study courses are offered in locations including BC's Gulf Islands and Hawaii. The program is offered as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree, with options to complete a Minor or a Concentration in Biology. Graduates pursue further study in medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, and graduate research, or work in laboratory and scientific research roles. Instruction is based at Trinity Western University's Langley, BC campus.
