Master of Arts (Social Science)

The Master of Arts (sciences sociales) at Universite de Moncton allows students to deepen their theoretical knowledge and research methodology skills within one or more fields or areas of study in the social sciences. The program is completed over two years of full-time study and combines advanced coursework with a research component addressing topics chosen from across the social sciences and humanities. Applicants whose prior training is judged insufficient may be required to complete preparatory coursework, associated with conditional admission, before beginning full graduate study. The program is designed for students from a range of social science and humanities backgrounds, including related disciplines, who wish to develop advanced theoretical and methodological research capacity, preparing them for doctoral study or for careers requiring social science research skills across sectors such as public policy, community organizations, and research institutes.
