Overview
The Master of Science in Chemistry (M. Sc.) is a two-year, 45-credit thesis-based graduate degree offered by Universite de Moncton at its Moncton campus. Students complete a 33-credit thesis centred on an original research project in a chemistry specialization, developed with a faculty supervisor to a level suitable for publication in peer-reviewed journals, together with a research proposal, a research seminar and a critical-article-analysis course, plus a minimum of six elective credits from options such as medicinal chemistry, advanced analytical chemistry, chemical pollution or geochemistry. Before applying, candidates must contact a department professor to confirm supervision and include that supervisor's letter of acceptance, along with at least two references listed in their curriculum vitae. Graduates are prepared for independent chemical research, doctoral studies, or supervisory roles in their area of specialization.
