The Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry is a course-based professional graduate program offered by the Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry at the University of Toronto, giving engineers advanced professional training through prescribed coursework rather than research. Admission requires a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in engineering or the physical, chemical or biological sciences, with at least a mid-B average (or equivalent) in each of the last two years of full-time study. The standard full-time program runs three sessions (one year); an extended full-time option runs six sessions and a part-time option runs nine sessions, with completion time limits of three years full-time or six years part-time. Students complete either 5.0 full-course equivalents, or 3.5 full-course equivalents plus a 1.5-FCE project; part-time students may take up to four half courses per year. The program is delivered in person on the St. George campus, with Fall (September) and Winter (January) intakes.
