BA/BS in Psychology is a bachelor's degree in Psychology programme offered by Université de Montréal in Montréal, Canada. The programme runs for 3 years, delivered on campus. Tuition for international students is CAD 32,164 per year (CAD 4,509 per year for local students).
This undergraduate program leads to a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Université de Montréal, offered full-time through day courses at both the Montreal and Laval campuses. The curriculum provides foundational training in contemporary psychology, covering areas such as neurocognition, developmental psychology, social psychology, motivation and emotion, psychophysiology, memory, health psychology, and legal psychology, alongside courses in scientific methodology, physiological psychology, and the critical history of psychology. An optional introductory professional internship is available, and after four terms students may enter an honours stream that provides more advanced research training. International study exchange is also offered. The program is designed to give students a solid base in psychology to support further graduate study in psychology or related social science and humanities fields, and the page notes that most graduates go on to master's or doctoral programs. It suits students seeking a broad, research-informed grounding in psychology as preparation for advanced study rather than a terminal professional credential, and admission is limited and based on academic standing.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry is open to Quebec CEGEP graduates, to university students holding a DEC plus at least 12 completed university credits, to candidates with at least 24 university credits and no DEC, and to holders of a non-Quebec credential judged equivalent. For CEGEP and university-credit applicants, academic excellence is the sole selection criterion; the current cycle's cote de rendement collegial (cote R) ranged from a minimum of 26.521 to a maximum of 38.102, averaging 30.218, and meeting the minimum does not guarantee admission. Because instruction is in French, applicants who did not complete their prior schooling entirely in French must score at least B2 in oral and written comprehension on an accepted French test taken within the previous 24 months; some admitted students may be required to complete mandatory written-French upgrading. Students in placement-based components of the programme must undergo a criminal-record check and, where applicable, required vaccinations. Admission runs on both the Winter and Autumn cycles: Winter applications are due 1 November with French documentation by 15 December, while Autumn applications are due 1 March for CEGEP applicants or 1 February for others.
