PhD in Doctorat en sociologie

The Doctorat en sociologie trains independent researchers in one of the discipline's specialized fields. The first year focuses on acquiring advanced disciplinary knowledge, the second year on developing the doctoral thesis project, and subsequent years on conducting research and writing the thesis, over a total of 90 credits. Students have access to more than a dozen affiliated research centres and groups, including the presence of the UNESCO Institute for Statistics on campus. The program leads to a doctoral (PhD) credential and admits students in the fall term.
