Overview

This postgraduate diploma builds specialized expertise in educational intervention, focusing on psychopedagogy, orthopedagogy, and andragogy. The 30-credit programme runs full-time or part-time, with day and evening courses at the Montreal campus, and full-time completion takes a minimum of two trimesters, with up to four years allowed from initial enrollment. Coursework deepens practical and theoretical knowledge of learning difficulties, remedial-teaching methods, and adult-education approaches, building on candidates' existing bachelor's-level training in education or a related field. Graduates are prepared for specialized intervention and support roles in schools, adult-education settings, and related educational and community organizations that work with learners facing academic or developmental challenges. Admissions to this option are currently suspended, and the university directs prospective applicants to its related DESS in current educational practices and issues.
