Program details
Overview
This doctoral program advances new knowledge in nursing and contributes to the development of the discipline through rigorous, original research across its five constituent domains: practice, management, research, education, and policy. It builds the competencies needed to pursue a research career while supporting the continuous improvement of nursing practice through evidence generation and knowledge transfer that takes regional issues into account. Students complete a supervised program of original doctoral research under the direction of a research director, culminating in a thesis that contributes new evidence to nursing practice, management, education, or policy. The 90-credit Doctorat en sciences infirmières is delivered full-time or part-time in a comodal format, allowing simultaneous in-person and remote participation, with admission offered in the fall and winter terms.
