This Bachelor's degree in Psychoeducation at Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres is a 90-credit program offered full-time or part-time, with some courses offered at a distance, admission each fall, and a program capped at 80 places plus three additional places reserved for Indigenous students; it is not open to applicants from outside Canada. It trains professional educators specializing in assessing individuals and in planning, organizing, and using a living environment to help people facing adaptation difficulties, working with children, adolescents, and adults across their natural settings of family, school, and neighbourhood. The first-cycle training also prepares students for graduate study in psychoeducation, with the bachelor's and the professional master's structured as a continuum; a master's degree is required to practise as a psychoeducator under the order that regulates the profession in Quebec. Theoretically, the program emphasizes human development, adaptive capacities and difficulties, and the risk and protective factors shaping a person's adaptation trajectory. Practically, it develops assessment and intervention skills, with a supervised internship completed in an intensive format during the final session of the third year.
