Plain Language Certificate

Admission Requirements: Admission requires Grade 12 or its equivalent; mature students who do not meet this standard may instead qualify with at least five years of relevant professional experience. The program links to SFU Continuing Studies' Advanced English Language Recommendations, which set an IELTS Academic overall band score of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0 and a writing band score of at least 8.0. There is no formal application deadline: applicants may enrol in individual courses first and apply to the certificate at any time, and a non-refundable $99 program application fee applies. To graduate, all required courses must be completed with a minimum average grade of B- (70%).
