This certificate introduces students to psychology, linguistics, or both, through three flexible profiles: a psychology profile, a linguistics profile, and a combined profile. Delivered on the Trois-Rivieres campus over 30 credits, offered full-time or part-time, it primarily serves as a route for holders of an unrelated bachelor's degree to complete the prerequisites for the Maitrise en orthophonie (master's in speech-language pathology). Admission requires a Quebec college diploma (DEC) or equivalent, an equivalent university diploma, or, for the experience-based route, a minimum age of twenty-one with relevant knowledge or experience; French-language proficiency is required. Applicants from outside Quebec need thirteen years of pre-university education or twelve years plus one year of university study, and must study full-time to meet immigration requirements. Admission is offered in the fall, winter and summer terms without an enrolment cap, and no minimum grade average is specified for admission.
