This certificate develops foundational knowledge of sexology and basic intervention and prevention skills, building a global approach to human sexuality and critical thinking about contemporary sexological issues. Delivered on the Trois-Rivieres campus over 30 credits, offered full-time or part-time, eight required courses cover anatomy, sexual difficulties, aggression and violence, psychosexual development across the lifespan, contemporary issues and sex education, followed by two elective courses chosen from psychology or applied sexology options. A personal laptop computer is mandatory for all admitted students. Admission requires a Quebec college diploma (DEC) or equivalent, at least fifteen completed university credits, or relevant knowledge and experience deemed appropriate for the experience-based route; applicants from outside Quebec need a thirteen-year pre-university diploma or a twelve-year diploma plus one year of university study. Admission is offered in the fall, winter and summer terms, and the programme is open to international applicants, who must study full-time and obtain a Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) and Canadian study permit.
