Overview

This certificate develops knowledge of animal production management across dairy, beef, sheep, pork, poultry and fish operations. Students study genetics, nutrition, physiology and management practices to better understand how these production systems function and to improve their technical and economic performance. The program totals 30 credits and is offered only on a part-time basis; it can be completed entirely at a distance. Admission is offered for the fall and winter terms, and up to 15 credits of prior learning can be recognized toward the certificate. The credential suits students already working in animal production who want structured training in production management.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Quebec applicants need a DEC in natural sciences (or equivalent) with completed biology and chemistry courses at the collegial level. Non-francophone applicants must score at least 361/699 on the mandatory TCF tout public components and at least 8/20 on the written expression component.
