This PhD programme develops advanced competency in economic analysis and quantitative research methods, with theoretical training in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics, leading to original research on socioeconomic questions. Instruction is delivered in French. New students are admitted in the fall term only.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a master's degree in economics, rural economics, mathematics, statistics, or an intensive-mathematics discipline, or an equivalent qualification. Applications require a curriculum vitae, a letter of motivation, and two reference reports. Non-francophone applicants must demonstrate French proficiency through the TCF test (minimum 600/699 on the core sections and 10/20 on written expression) or equivalent coursework. International applicants must also complete the department's supplementary questionnaire.
