This thesis-based Master of Arts in Translation and Terminology allows students to deepen their linguistic knowledge and build research expertise in translation and terminology. The 45-credit programme covers theoretical and practical aspects of general and specialised translation as well as bilingual and monolingual terminology, with options to specialise in literary, legal, scientific, or technical translation, computer-assisted translation, or revision. Admission requires passing a written exam consisting of an English-to-French translation and a French summary of an English text, together with a short research-project proposal. The estimated full-time duration is two years, with part-time study also available. The programme admits students in the fall and winter terms. Graduates are prepared for research, teaching, or advanced professional roles in translation and terminology, or for further graduate study.
