This graduate diploma (DESS) in translation and terminology focuses on translation from English into French, with the option to specialize in literary, administrative, political, legal, commercial, or technical translation. The 30-credit, one-year program builds theoretical and practical knowledge of both terminology and translation practice. It can be completed full-time or part-time, with some courses offered at a distance or in comodal format. A single intake is offered each September. Applicants with a bachelor's degree in translation are admitted directly; applicants with a bachelor's in another field must pass an admission exam that includes an English-to-French translation and a French summary of an English text. Graduates are prepared for professional translation and terminology work across a range of specialized fields.
