This graduate diploma (DESS) in Orthodox theology, unique in Quebec, develops an understanding of the Orthodox tradition's historical development, its relationship to other Christian traditions, and its application to contemporary pluralistic societies. The 30-credit program is offered part-time only, at a rate of one course per term (three courses per year), through a partnership with the Institute of Orthodox Theology in Montreal. Classes are held on weekday evenings in the Montreal region. Up to 15 credits of prior learning may be recognized toward the diploma. The program admits students each September, January, and summer term. Applicants need a bachelor's degree in theology or equivalent, or a bachelor's in a related discipline combined with a certificate in theology; equivalent combinations of study and experience are also considered.
