Overview

This 30-credit certificate offers foundational training in the Christian tradition, addressing theological practice within contemporary secular and ecclesial contexts. It gives students a base in theology that can stand alone or support further study. The program is nominally one year in length on a full-time basis, though students set their own pace between full-time and part-time study, and up to 15 credits of prior learning may be recognized toward it. Courses may be offered partially or entirely at a distance. Applications are assessed on the quality of the applicant's academic record. The certificate is taught in French and admits students in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Quebec DEC holders: any DEC. Applicants from elsewhere in Canada: secondary school diploma plus one year of university studies. International applicants: pre-university diploma totalling 13 years of study, or 12 years plus one year of higher education. Non-francophone applicants: TCF tout public test, minimum 361/699 on mandatory sections and 8/20 on written expression. Fall, Winter, and Summer admission.
