The Certificate in Online Communities Studies at Universite TELUQ is a 30-credit, first-cycle university certificate offered jointly with the Universite du Quebec a Montreal (UQAM) and delivered entirely online. The program equips students and professionals to observe and understand online communities and the broader dynamics of online exchange, combining theoretical foundations with practical tools for analyzing communities across different domains. The 30-credit curriculum is organized into ten 3-credit courses covering the theory of online communities, digital platforms, data-analysis tools, ethics, and critical media analysis. It is designed for professionals working in community management, digital marketing, or communications, as well as students seeking a specialized credential in digital and online-community studies. Courses are self-paced, allowing students to study at their own pace and from any location. The certificate can be completed as a stand-alone credential or combined with other certificates toward a bachelor's degree.
