The Master of Science in Surgery with a specialization in Surgical Education is a thesis-based graduate program offered by the Department of Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Admission follows the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry's graduate entrance requirements, which apply in addition to the University's general graduate admission standards. English language proficiency is required where applicable: a TOEFL iBT score of at least 95 with a minimum of 21 on each skill area for tests written before January 21, 2026, or a minimum overall score of 5 with at least 4.5 on each skill area for tests on or after that date; an IELTS Academic score of at least 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 on each band; or a Cambridge score of at least 185 with at least 179 on each subscore. Applicants must also meet the Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies' minimum academic requirements and submit three letters of reference (at least two academic), a statement of research interests, a curriculum vitae, and transcripts.
