Data Science and Analytics - Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Fundamental Data Science and Analytics introduces students to the tools, techniques, and approaches needed for data-driven careers, covering data-collection and examination techniques, data visualization, statistical and computational analytics, and presentation skills across four in-person courses. Full-time students can expect to complete the program in about four months, subject to cohort scheduling, with a maximum completion time of two years; admission is offered in the Fall term only. Graduates can ladder into the university's Graduate Diploma or a related Master's degree. Admission requires a four-year undergraduate degree from a recognized institution with prior coursework, at a 'B' grade or better, in computer programming, statistics, and either calculus or linear algebra, along with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale over the final two years of full-time study. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the Faculty of Science's English Language Proficiency requirements.
