Data Science and Analytics - Diploma

The Graduate Diploma in Data Science and Analytics at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Science prepares students to work with data-driven challenges relevant to the digital economy. Coursework covers data collection, visualization, statistical analytics, and presentation skills, delivered through collaborative, experiential learning. The program is delivered in person and normally takes eight months of full-time study to complete, or four months for students laddering in from the related graduate certificate, with a maximum completion time of three years. Admission requires a four-year undergraduate degree from a recognized institution and completion of one prerequisite course each in computer programming, statistics, and calculus or linear algebra, each with a minimum grade of B. No reference letters or standardized test scores are required as part of the application.
