BA/BS in Environmental Management

Environmental Management is a major within the Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management at the University of Guelph. The programme combines applied environmental science and technology with business training, covering environmental maintenance, remediation, regulatory compliance, and corporate environmental responsibility. Students engage in field trips, independent research projects, and applied problem-solving related to real-world environmental management issues such as waste handling, site remediation, and environmental policy compliance, preparing graduates for roles in environmental consulting, regulatory compliance, and corporate sustainability management. The standard honours major is completed over eight semesters and requires a minimum of 20.00 credits. A co-op option is available as a five-year programme including four work terms, giving students applied work experience alongside their academic coursework. The programme is delivered on the University of Guelph's main campus.
