Overview
This Global Business program leads to a Bachelor of Business Administration (formerly the Bachelor of Management), with second-degree, post-diploma and combined-degree options plus a Management Certificate. It focuses on international business operations, including supply chain management, global finance, innovation in emerging markets, cross-cultural management, global leadership and crisis management, drawing on history, geography, political science, psychology, economics and sociology. Sample courses cover global financial management, cross-cultural marketing and integrated trade and supply chain management. The program includes a required international exchange component with partner institutions abroad, and many students take part in co-operative education for paid work experience. Delivery is based on the Lethbridge campus, with evening and weekend classes also offered at the Calgary campus. It suits students interested in international commerce and cross-border management, and can lead to roles such as supply chain manager, project manager or procurement manager, as well as work in government, diplomacy or international trade.

Admission Requirements: Domestic (Canadian high school) admission to Global Business at the University of Lethbridge's Dhillon School of Business requires five senior-year courses with a minimum 65% average, one of which must be a required English course (English Language Arts 30-1 in Alberta, or the provincial equivalent) and one of which must be a mathematics course (Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2 in Alberta, or the provincial equivalent); the remaining courses are drawn from the university's approved subject list, which varies by province. International applicants are assessed on the same academic scale against home-country credential equivalencies through the university's international admissions office. All applicants whose first language is not English must meet the university's English Language Proficiency requirement, most commonly Alberta English Language Arts 30-1 (or equivalent) with a minimum blended grade of 75%, three consecutive years of full-time secondary study in English, or an approved test: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 per band), TOEFL iBT 86 overall (min. 20 per section), Duolingo 120 overall (min. 110 per subscore), PTE Academic 61 overall (min. 60 per part), or CAEL 70 overall (min. 60 per component).
