BA/BS in Nursing

This program prepares students for entry-level nursing practice through a combination of theory, laboratory work, and clinical placements across areas including continuing care, acute medicine and surgery, rural and sub-acute care, pediatrics, maternal/child and family health, mental health and addictions, and community health. It leads to a Bachelor of Nursing, delivered full-time and in person in Lethbridge with Fall intake, with some courses offered online or asynchronously. The first two years are delivered collaboratively with Lethbridge Polytechnic, with tuition through that institution, while the final two years are completed through the University of Lethbridge. A Bachelor of Nursing After Degree option exists for applicants who have already completed an undergraduate degree. Graduates are prepared to write the National Council Licensure Examination toward registration as a Registered Nurse, and the program suits students aiming for careers as registered, community health, public health, mental health, or acute care nurses.
