Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Management at the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton campus consists of eight core courses drawn from the MBA curriculum, designed for working professionals rather than recent graduates. Full-time students typically complete the certificate in one year, while part-time students take two to three years. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized university, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.3 or a B average, along with at least three years of full-time professional business-related work experience; applicants must hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. Unlike the MBA, admission does not require the GMAT or a Microeconomics prerequisite. Students who complete the certificate and go on to apply to the MBA program have the GMAT requirement waived. The certificate offers a route into graduate business education for experienced professionals without committing to the full MBA at the outset.
