At University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George, Canada, Executive Leadership Core Certificate is offered as a certificate in Management & Leadership programme. The programme is delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 2,600 per total (CAD 2,600 per total for local students).
The Executive Leadership Core Certificate is an immersive program for managers stepping up to executive roles, built on the premise that the leader is the prime factor in creating a productive workplace and retaining staff. Six courses make up the core: Active Leadership, a three-day foundation in coaching and empowering teams, followed by shorter modules on motivating for full engagement, aligning personal objectives with organizational goals, leading continuous change, leading transformation, and leading high performing teams. Sessions are delivered virtually in a cohort format that emphasises crafting an individual leadership style rather than applying a template. It is aimed at high-performing managers on an executive track, senior leaders supporting innovation and growth, and principals or owners of small and medium firms.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Entry to the Executive Leadership Core Certificate requires completion of Grade 12 and active experience in a leadership role; no minimum grade, GPA or English test score is published, as the certificate is delivered in English to working professionals rather than assessed through a standard academic application. Before the course begins, registrants must complete two pre-work assessments, an Active Leadership Profile (self and others) and a Personal Needs Assessment (self). Students must actively participate in at least 80% of class time and must have a computer with a webcam to attend virtual sessions and complete exercises and knowledge checks. No portfolio, interview, criminal record check or immunisation requirement is stated.
Application Details
Application Deadline:UNBC's general-entry Bachelor's programs (BA, BComm, BPl, BSc) accept domestic (Canadian/PR) applications continuously with no fixed closing date for either the September or January semester. International applicants face undated, recurring cutoffs that UNBC prints without a specific year: 11 July for September-semester entry and 8 November for January-semester entry; applying later risks missing the documentation needed to study in Canada before the semester begins. Competitive-entry programs (Engineering, Nursing, Health Sciences, Education, Social Work) and individual graduate programs set their own dates each cycle -- see the programme-specific entries below for this institution's graduate programs. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
