The Master of Science in Physics at the University of Ottawa is delivered jointly through the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Physics (OCIP), giving students access to the professors, courses, and facilities of both the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. The program offers several completion routes: a thesis-based standard stream of six full-time terms (24 consecutive months), an accelerated thesis stream of three full-time terms (12 consecutive months), and course-based routes of four full-time terms (16 consecutive months), one of which includes a co-op option. Both full-time and part-time registration are available, with instruction conducted primarily in English.
