Overview
This Bachelor's program in Mathematics is offered through the Faculty of Science, with four four-year options: a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics covering calculus, matrix algebra, differential equations, statistics, and computer science; an Honours route emphasizing high-level abstract mathematical reasoning as preparation for graduate study; a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics combining mathematics with probability and statistics; and a combined Computer Science and Mathematics degree aimed at students interested in computation or theoretical computer science. Coursework spans propositional and first-order logic, complex analysis, Euclidean geometry, and quantum information theory, across algebra, analysis, combinatorics, probability, and topology. A Co-op option provides work terms alongside the degree, and students can take on research or teaching assistant positions, with a student society supporting networking among mathematics and actuarial-statistics students. The program suits students who want a strong quantitative foundation, whether heading toward further mathematics study or applied analytical careers. Described career paths for graduates include portfolio analyst, actuary, data analyst, cryptologist, financial analyst, and university professor, across banking, finance, and healthcare.

Admission Requirements: The mathematics page only references meeting the Faculty of Science admission requirements via its transfer FAQ and links to the general application guide; the specifics below are that guide's Saskatchewan high-school pathway. Final admission needs Saskatchewan Secondary standing with English Language Arts 30, Pre-Calculus 30, and two of Biology 30, Calculus 30, Chemistry 30, Computer Science 30, Earth Science 30 or Physics 30, to a 70% average. Applicants missing one of the five subjects but averaging 70% on the remainder, or averaging 65-69.99% with all five present, are admitted as Science Qualifying students. International applicants must also meet English proficiency: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0), TOEFL iBT 83 (4.5 overall from 21 January 2026), PTE Academic 59, CAEL 60, or Duolingo 120.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants to the University of Regina apply for Fall 2027 entry with a recommended early deadline of 15 March 2027 for best course selection and a final new-applicant deadline of 15 August 2027; Winter 2027-28 entry has an early deadline of 1 November 2026 and a final deadline of 15 December 2026, and Spring/Summer 2027 entry closes 15 April 2027. International (study-permit) applicants share the same final deadlines as domestic students for each term but have no separate early deadline. Numerous named programs, including Nursing, Social Work, Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, Indigenous Fine Arts and Indigenous Education, carry their own earlier deadlines instead of the general dates. Admission is not described as rolling; late non-competitive applications are simply carried to the next term the program accepts. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
