The Bachelor of Science in Dental Therapy [B.Sc.(DT)] is a full-time, two-year program consisting of six consecutive terms of classroom and clinical instruction, delivered at University of Saskatchewan sites in Saskatoon, La Ronge, Prince Albert, and Regina. The curriculum trains students to provide primary dental care procedures, combining classroom coursework with supervised clinical practice across the program's four locations. Two admission pathways lead to the degree: direct entry from high school, following a set curriculum of classroom and clinical coursework, and entry for provincially registered dental hygienists holding a diploma, certificate, or B.Sc. in Dental Hygiene, who follow a separate, condensed program of study that builds on their existing clinical training. Graduates are trained to the standard required for licensure as dental therapists. The program admits a new cohort each Fall term.
