The Bachelor of Science in Dental Therapy is offered by the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry in partnership with the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and Northlands College. Dental therapists provide clinical and preventive oral health services to children and adults in private practice and community settings, with the program placing particular emphasis on care for Indigenous populations and communities. The standard route for high school graduates runs two years (six consecutive terms) and combines preclinical simulation training with clinical components delivered across multiple campuses. A one-year route is available for licensed dental hygienists and internationally trained dentists who meet separate entry requirements. The program admits students for a Fall start, with applications assessed through course requirements, letters of support, an online interview, and proof of residency.
