The Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Saskatchewan's College of Medicine is a four-year professional degree that requires completion of a prior four-year bachelor's degree for admission, meaning it cannot be entered directly from high school. Admission Requirements: Admission to the M.D. program combines academic and non-academic criteria, with the Applicant Information Document as the official source; DSAAP and Saskatchewan/rural connectedness scores are also considered. Applicants must complete the MCAT, and complete or hold a four-year bachelor's degree in any subject (finished by April 30 of the entry year), with a minimum University Academic Average (UAA) of 80%. By the application deadline, applicants must also have completed an approved Indigenous Studies prerequisite course or certificate. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or hold Permanent Resident status by the October 1 application deadline and have resided in Canada at least three years before August 1 of the admission year. All applicants complete the online CASPer assessment, submit a personal statement and undergo reference checks, and shortlisted applicants complete a combined MMI and panel interview/conversation circle. Accepted students must provide CPR/First Aid certification and immunization documentation.
