The Computer Information Systems Diploma focuses on the skills you need to work within the IT sector supporting single and networked systems. Admission Requirements: The Calendar states that entrance requirements for the CIS diploma are the same as for the Bachelor of Computer Information Systems degree: applicants need B.C. secondary school graduation or an equivalent (or program-head permission), or mature-student/transfer status, together with one of Principles of Mathematics 12 at C+, Foundations of Mathematics 12 at B, Pre-calculus 12 at C, MATH 092 and MATH 093 both at C, or MATH 096/MATH 110 at C, plus the prerequisites for CMNS 125, CMNS 175 or ENGL 105. All students are expected to be computer literate (Windows, internet use, basic word processing and spreadsheets). No standardized English-language test score is stated for this diploma; applicants short of the math or English prerequisite may enter through UFV's Qualifying Studies pathway, and applications are accepted for Fall, Winter or Summer entry.

Start Date:Three entry points a year - Fall (September to December), Winter (January to April) and Summer (May to August, run as two sessions of May-June and July-August). UFV's programme list shows this one admitting for all three.
